Pamahiin
1. When you go to a wake, don't go straight at home because it can bring bad luck.
2. Sukob (a superstition of getting married within a year of her father's death)
3. When there's a nuno sa punso, one must say, "tabi tabi po"

Balikbayan Boxes
another thing is that Filipinos are fond also of bringing anything like food, drinks, or a small gifts when visiting a relative or a friend. Even a pack of peanut will be fine to bring in for a small talk with along time friend.

'Suportahan ta ka'
Some values are being shaped by commercials like the "Suportahan Ta Ka" (I will support you) commercial of PLDT where a father "allows" his son to take up Fine Arts course.

kiti-kitext
Filipinos are the top most texter in the whole world. Believe it or not, we spend almost half of the day texting through our cellphones. Or sometimes, teenagers mostly text even late at nights and still, they don't feel sleepy. So why do Filipinos text alot? because it is alot more cheaper than having a call. Plus, there are now unlimited text all day!
This only shows than communication has been a lot more easier, unlike before you are only able to contact a person through snail mail or telegram, but now you get to call and text them anytime you miss them. SIMPLY AMAZING!!

Mga engkanto
Filipino's imagination are truly wide and creative. There imaginations reaches to create super natural beings that are out of this world and some believe that these creatures that we called, "engkanto" really do exsist.
A tikbalang is a half-human half-horse creature. Resides on Balete trees, beside a hot spring, nipa grove, or pitcher plant.

kapres are giant creatures. They reside on tress with wide trunk and have a circular leaves, abandoned houses and ruined buildings. They smoke tobacco and are believed to be docile creatures.

Filipinos also created stories about this super natural beings which were made into comics and movies like Darna, Pedro Penduko, Panday and many more. Of course, tha battle between good and evil. But the good one's always wins. These proves that the Filipino's imagination are really wide.

TeleNOVELAs and Noontime Shows

They believe in it and they apply and relate it to their daily lifestyle which sometimes turns out in a wrong way. They cry about it and get to affected on it that they forget the more important things that they should be doing rather than being too emotional about what they are watching.
Children who are able to watch traumatic scenes and morbid scenes actually tend to copy it for it is what they see and they think is right. Telenovelas are only to inspire viewers not to actually influence them on what they should be doing. I know, these telenovelas aim to satisfy and for their viewers to enjoy the show but i think too much addiction on it will lead them to a different situation.

Kasaysayan ng pamilyang Pinoy
Filipino families from then to now are very famous not only because of their hospitality but Filipino families are very close to their ties. Most Filipino families live together with their lolo's and lola's. Some with their relatives. They have always many members in the house and that's why Filipinos are unique and its so homy to stay with them.
Filipino families also celebrates different ocassions together. It is really different and unique when ocassions like Christmas, are celebrated in the Filipino way.
Filipino childrens are respectful from then up to now. They still exercise their values of saying "po,opo, mano po" to their elders.
These are some characteristics of the Filipino families that are excercise from the past up to the present and for the future because we can all say that "ayan ang tatak Pinoy!"
