INTRODUCTION

We came from a very traditional culture. The Father as being the head of the family, who always makes the last say or what we call the last decision in the family, they are the once that are much more powerful and always to be followed. they get to study and work while the mothers are to stay at home and take care of their young. and the Mother, as the in-charge of raising the children, she is also the one to do the household works.

Children are to obey what ever their parents say, may it be right or wrong, fair or unfair, they must follow what is commanded or else, great punishment is to be done. Great courage is what it takes for the children of the past. Disgrace and failure are what a child is considered if he/she disobeys.

But nowadays, in our generation, only few of the families are with this type of system. As we can notice in some families, Mother becomes the head of the family and father is only the secondary especially in cases where the mother is the primary source of the family in terms of income. Children seems to be very aware of the matters that way back before cannot be mentioned.

How does the family today differ from the family before? Has it brought good effects? or has it torn the communication apart? Here are some of the changes and differences of the Filipino Family Portrait of today as compared to the Traditional Filipino Family.

What can we say??

Here is an ambush interview a couple of teenagers about how they see the Filipino family of today.
Have there been changes? Positive or negative??

FOOD.... !!! FOOD...!!! FOOD!!!!!

We filipinos seem to love these kinds of food, its like we cant live without it and we cant go on in a day with out eating in any of these. We love the food, the taste and the way it looks! This drastic expanse in number of fast food chains became possible because we Filipinos are so engrossed with it. But why are we so fond of it?
We Filipinos are busy type of people. We always have something to do and something to add on what we are doing. It’s not surprising if we would be practical. Fast food chains are so practical in so many ways.

Another type of food that Filipinos love to eat are the street foods. you see it everywhere, the smell of it just around the corner really makes you wanna look for it. Most foods sold here are, barbecue foods and dumplings, goto, bananacue, burger, chicken balls, kwek-kwek along with the all time gulaman!!

Aside from it being very affordable, "talagang nakakbusog." Nobody cares if its around the street side and a lot of dust are accumulated by it. its savory, smoky taste is what they're after to.

These are some of the gay linggo's that you can hear in the Philippines. And it's really funny how gay Filipino's talk! They even have gay pageant to prove that they too can stand up. They are fun to be with and even they're gay, they still contribute with our society and they are proudy pinoy. Or should I say, Pinay!
